好像有3种,应该是第一种

第一种:6月1日

The youngest to climb Everest

Jordan Romero, a 13-year-old boy from California, set a new record by reaching the top of Mount Everest (珠穆朗玛峰) at the end of last month. He has become the youngest to climb the world’s highest mountain. At the peak, he took the satellite phone and called his mom. “Mom, I’m calling you from the top of the world. There were lots of tears. I love you! I love you!”

The teenager has long curly hair and looks very cute. He was inspired by a painting of the seven continents’ highest summits at school. He began climbing mountains when he was 9 years old. “Every step I take is finally toward the biggest goal of my life, to stand on top of the world,” Jordan once said on his blog.

Jordan had never climbed above 8,000 metres. Thanks to the clear weather, he and his team climbed quickly to arrive at the peak hours ahead of schedule. On his way, Jordan was accompanied by his father and three guides. His father had trained him for top-level mountaineering. He said he wanted nothing more than to make his son’s dreams come true.

Now, just one mountain remains in Jordan’s quest to climb the highest peaks on all seven continents. It’s in Antarctica! “A piece of cake,” his mother said.

第二种:4月22日

Everest seeker, Jordan Romero

Jordan Romero, a 13-year-old boy from California, USA, has a big plan — he is going to climb the 8,848m-high Mount Everest* next month, hoping to become the youngest person in the world to conquer the highest mountain on Earth.

Jordan has been a mountaineer since he was little. He scaled Mount Kilimanjaro*, Africa’s highest peak, at the age of ten. Since then, he has conquered many high mountains on other continents. For him, the biggest challenge is getting to the top of Mount Everest.

If he succeeds, Jordan says, he will pick a small piece of rock from the top of the world as a memento and wear it in a necklace. “I will not sell it; I will not give it to anyone. It is something for myself to say ‘This is a rock from the summit.’”

At the moment, Jordan is living in a camp at the foot of Mount Everest to get used to the climate. He is ready to take on the climb and fully understands the risks. “This may be the first of many attempts. It could take a couple of years, but I am determined to do it. If I don’t reach the summit this time, I will try again next time.”

第三种:6月4日

Jordan Romero: The Youngest to Climb Everest

The youngest climber to reach the peak of Mount Everest (珠穆朗玛峰) hugged his tearful teammates and told them he loved them. Then 13-year-old Jordan Romero took the satellite phone and called his mom. “He said, ‘Mom, I’m calling you from the top of the world,’” said Jordan’s mother, Leigh Anne Drake. She had been watching her son’s progress minute by minute on a GPS tracker online.

With his success on the world’s highest mountain, 8,850 meters above sea level, Jordan is just one climb from his quest to reach the highest peaks on all seven continents. The teenager climbed Mount Kilimanjaro (乞力马扎罗山) in Africa when he was 9 years old. He says he was inspired by a painting of the seven continents’ highest summits in his school hallway. “Every step I take is finally toward the biggest goal of my life, to stand on top of the world,” Jordan said earlier on his blog.

Jordan had never climbed above 8,000 meters, but his team climbed quickly along the final ridge to arrive at the peak hours ahead of schedule. Jordan, from California, was climbing Everest with his father, Paul Romero, and three guides. Paul Romero has trained Jordan for top-level mountaineering.

Before the group set out for Nepal (尼泊尔) in April, Paul Romero said he wanted nothing more than to make his son’s dreams come true. “It’s my dream we are following to the highest points on every continent,” Jordan says on his blog. “I know it’s a big goal and lucky for me my family is supporting me every step of the way.”

Just one mountain remains in Jordan’s own quest to climb those peaks, the Vinson Massif (文森山) in Antarctica. Jordan’s team leaves for Antarctica in December. “A piece of cake,” his mother said.
