什么是B-roll, 和footage有什么不同？
1、所指镜头不同
footage一般最为有用的镜头，主镜头，比如说访谈的人物；b-roll算是辅助镜头，大多为空镜头或者不太重要的镜头（没有人文的，纯景色，物体等片段），B-roll和footage在表示镜头方面，两者的界限实际没那么明确。
2、范围不同
严格的说任何辅助性的画面都可以称为b-roll，范围较footage更广，比如采访，被采访的人通常就是a-roll, 其他辅助的画面就是b-roll；而footage主要指主镜头，是一种特定的镜头，范围相对要窄。
3、作用不同
Footage是主要镜头，一般是一条视频的主线，缺了Footage可能视频信息传达就不完整，观众看不清楚；而视频如果把里头的B-Roll都拿掉，也不会影响信息的传达，但没了情节铺垫没了渲染氛围的镜头，片子会比较枯燥。
4、其他含义不同
B-ROLL还可以表示外景拍摄场地，例如：
