不能说expire fragrance.
expire的常见用法有两种：

expire做及物动词讲的时候，有呼气，吐出，排出的意思。这个词性我不明白，只是查到的，看到例句是花散发香气这个句子，所以就不太明白跟give out的区别了，呵呵！~

呼气一般说respire，不过在花上面也是不适用。
而expire的确是可以这样用，但是如今已经非常少了。
总之我说的是常见用法。一般来说，如果你用了一个词，而现代欧美人都不懂你要说什么，那么或许就应该用其他的词了。
在这个例子上，两者的区别就是give out 比较常见，而expire如今纯粹是死亡的意思。
